Also, what did you think about that Joker painting I started that I posted a while back? I finished it and sold it for a few hundred. But, I’m curious if you dug it or not. I already drew up sketch notes for another. It’s the only fanboy art I’ll really allow myself to do.
This is untrue. He didn’t finish it and sell it. I think he was painting this for me, hoping I’d ask him for a Joker painting? It is years later that he unearths this unfinished painting, reposts it, and finally completes it.

I kept it chunky as I painted. Found a pic of some fanboy for the pose, and just made the face as jokery as I feel me & you thinks he should be represented best. Maybe I’m way off…but I’m gonna do one with much more drzmatic lighting with him in a alleyway on a moonlit night.

Yes. I like it. I think your chunky portraits are the best of your work, especially that huge self portrait you sold at that show in Hoboken. That was the best painting I’ve seen you make.
I’m currently trying to paint something to submit to a group show, but also a present for <Boyfriend>. I’m totally fucking it up. I’ve not painted in years. Egad. I’m just winging it, which is NOT my strong point. I’m good at interpreting from reference. But…. I’ve started, so I’m going to keep going with it.
